The Kangra Arts Promotion Society and Voice of Himachal will be conducting an Arts Appreciation Course focusing on the Kangra school of paintings. VOH recently signed an agreement with Dadhol Gram Sewa Sahkari Samiti to assist the famers cooperative in setting up a dairy unit in their area of operations. The Dadhol cooperative has more than 1600 members and is currently operating in 4 panchayats of Ghumarwin block in District Bilaspur of Himachal Pradesh. The cooperative was established in 1956 with 13 members and 130 Rupees share capital. The cooperative today boast of a turnover of more than 7 Crore Rupees. Youth Enlightening the Society (YES) , a non-profit based out of Shimla and a VOH Network partner is organising a blood donation camp in Shimla on the 29th August 2009. To further our work in supporting the voluntary blood donation movement in Himachal, YES and VOH have planned similar camps in other areas of the state. The next one will be in Solan on 12th September. We plan to organise more such camps every month and seek volunteers as well as donors who can contribute money for organising such camps.
