Voice of Himachal is a not-for-profit organisation set-up with a purpose to Catalyse Sustainable Development in Himachal Pradesh. VOH consists of a group of professionals sharing a common passion which is their love for Himachal and its people.
VOH is registered as a national level society under the Societies Registration Act 1860 in Delhi.
This year VOH will work on 4 thematic areas which are:
- Adapting to climate change
- Livelihoods promotion
- Youth and Entrepreneurship
- Information and Communication Technologies for Development (ICT4D)
VOH team
Rajeev Dar (President & Co-founder)
is an alumnus of NDRI Karnal and IIM Ahmedabad. He has more than 30 years of experience of working in multiple geographies. He has worked extensively in the corporate sector and subsequently managed his own business in Europe. Rajeev is currently working as a CEO with Indian Society for Agribusiness Professionals. He has been associated with VOH since its inception in 2003 and is also the founding president of VOH. He is from Palampur and currently based in Delhi.

Varun Rattan Singh (Founder & CEO)
He is from Bilaspur and these days based in Shimla. Varun helps mobilise resources and coordinates for various activities of VOH. Being is the founder member of VOH he also represents the organisation as its secretary. An alumnus of Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), Varun had always cherished a dream of coming back to work in Himachal. He associates actively with the civil society organisations and works as a volunteer with them in his spare time.
Sanjay Versain
He has been associated with mainstream media for about a decade, besides having interest in developmental communication. A strong votary of harnessing social media for empowering the disadvantaged, he has been among the founding members of VOH, and considers himself too meanspirited to give up even an inch of the heavenly mountainside that he occupies in his imagination.
Nityin Bhalaik
He is a hospitality professional by training, an orchardist and a blogger with passion, from Kotgarh. He has worked in the hospitality industry all over India for 15 years. Call of the mountains finally proved too great a force for him to resist a comeback, and is now settled in Shimla for the past 5 years. Nityin came into the VOH fold as he says, “here were a bunch of people who had solid ideas about working at the grassroots level”.
