VOH facilitated the establishment of a Handicrafts training cum production center in village Rajol near Kangra airport. The training centre will focus on providing training to the youth in the region making crafts out of Bamboo. In addition work will be undertaken to promote commercial plantations of Bamboo amongst the farming community. Felling of Bamboo was recently decontrolled by the state government and the farmers can expect increased returns from these plantations.
